There is this amazing animal called the Saola. Most of you don’t know anything about it but I do and I want to save it. The Saola was discovered May of 1992 of the 20th century. It has two paralall horns on its head that can reach 20 inches in length. The horns are found on bolth male and feamale of the saola. You know how you have cousins the saola has a cousin too cattle! There found in the annamite mountians of vitnam and laos.Unfortunately   there are only  a few hundred left in there reigon but we can save it if we try hard. And there not just endangered but criticly endangered and that is not good. Whats hard is that some people put down snares and they get caugte in them. and habitat loss there losing there habitat too. so if we don’t act soon they could go ectstinct.

Hi! Today I am here to tell you about the Vaquita. Funny name I know! The Vaquita is a porpoise. It is actually the smallest porpoise in the world. It is only 5 feet long and only weighs about 120 pounds. They were only discovered in 1958 because they are so rare. They live in the upper part of Mexico’s gulf of California. They are very shy and scatter if a boat approaches. There are only about 200 of them left in the world. The Vaquita is endangered because of fishing nets. They also have to worry about sharks but their main concern is fishing nets. They get caught in the nets and die because they can’t get to the surface for air so they basically drown. So will you help me save the Vaquita?

The red panda Is extreamly endangered and it needs our help. The red panda lives in its native country of Nepal in India and China. It lives in the Himalaya mountains. It eats mostly bamboo and also sometimes eats bugs and fruit. The red pandas scientific name is ailurus fulgens. It is about two feet long and weighs only about eleven pounds when it is an adult. They have small litters of two cubs. Red pandas grow slowly considering the amount of food that they eat. Red pandas a look like a Panda but are red and look kinda like a bear. They are very fuzzy and have tiny cute little ears they are so cute! That is why we want to try to save the species bye helping them please help me save them too!

I think the Humphead Wrasse is one of the funniest fish I have ever seen. It is so weird! It has a hump like bulge on the top of their head. They can live to be 30 years old. That’s really old for a fish. They live in coral reefs. Did you know that they can grow to be up to 6 feet long?! They eat hard shelled prey such as mollusks, star fish or other stuff like crustaceans. Humphead Wrasse are very important to coral reef health because they eat crown-of-thorn starfish which are not good for coral reef health. Humphead wrasse are mainly endangered because of over fishing. If fisherman stop fishing in the wrong spots maybe someday Humphead wrasse will be very popular all over the world.

Juvenile Atlantic Bottlenose dolphin, Winter, was found laying in the sand tangled in a blue crab trap in Mosquito Lagoon. She was born September 2005. She was found near Cape Canaveral, Florida. In 2006 winter got a bionic tail. This little dolphin survived because she was a tough little dolphin and she was also very brave. This dolphin has a very unusual story. She had a lot of love and care to get her back on her feet. Her doctors and care takers loved her so much. They did all they could do to take care of that poor dolphin. Now she is happy and healthy, living at the Clearwater Marine Center in Florida. I hope that fisherman would stop leaving their crab traps in the water so long. And I hope people like you would help these poor animals by not throwing bottles and cans into the water.

Hi! I am here to tell you about the Siberian Tiger! I think they are the prettiest animals in the world! Tigers are the largest cat in the world. They live in Russia and some live in North Korea. There are about 400 to 500 Siberian Tigers left. Their numbers are stable. They are categorized as mammals, they are carnivores, and they can weigh up to 660 pounds. The tigers are known for their power and strength. Their species increased over about 100 years. People hunt them for their body parts and use them for medicine.  Siberian tigers eat elk (moose) and wild boar. Female Siberian Tigers have 2 to 6 cubs at a time. The cubs cannot hunt until they are about 18 months old. Thanks for learning about Siberian tigers with me! I hope that you will try to save Siberian Tigers like me!

These persian leopards in france and spain  are endangered. They have white fur with black spots and the cutest little faces. They were born in 2009 on May first. Their names are Chapu and Darius. They are the largest species of all of the leopards. They can reach 130 lbs and are 7 feet long from head to tail. They live in forests,grasslands,and mountains. They hunt deer,gazelle,goats,and wild boars. Even though they have the cutest faces these leopards are seriously dangerous. I hope you help me save these wonderful cats!

I really like pink river dolphins because they are harmless to humans and they are pink. They live in the Amazon River of Brazil. Isn’t pink a weird color of a dolphin?

Well they are pink because capillaries  are close to the top of their skin. Sometimes they can be pale blue or albino (also known as white). There are 5 species of fresh water dolphins. Pink river dolphins are the largest species of river dolphins. They can grow to be 9 feet long and can weigh up to 300 pounds. They can also live to be 30 years old.

The Amazon keeps getting more polluted over the years. This is why they are heading towards extinction.

Their eyes are small and they don’t rely on eye sight to live. They use echolocation to fend for themselves. They have a large bump on there head. The bump on their head is not a brain it is a lens used for echolocation. They are incredible swimmers because they have a very flexible backbone. They can also preform 180 degrees head turns. Calves may be born in the middle of July or September.

What a cool animal. There are a lot of animals that are endangered because of pollutions. Maybe you could help them by not polluting the water.

In the mid 20th century whooping cranes went nearly extinct. In 1941 there was only 16 cranes left. I feel so bad about these creatures and how hard it is for these birds. Their number increased and there are about 200 in the wild and about 200 in captivity now so it is even. In all there would be about 400 of the birds alive. Their natural breeding ground is mostly in Canada. They mostly eat plants,shellfish,insects,fish and frogs so they are mostly carnivores. This is the main reason why whooping cranes are endangered: the loss of habitat and oil spills. Here is a picture to show how cute they really are.
